Working Wardrobe
Blake Morgan is the official 2022 partner for Working Wardrobe, a pioneering project that distributes high-quality interview and work outfits to job seekers in South Wales. The Working Wardrobe initiative aims to give people the confidence to take their first step towards a new role or career by donating free interview and work attire.
Access to justice - legal walks
Teams across Blake Morgan took part in a series of legal walks coordinated by The Access to Justice Foundation. The sponsored walks are an opportunity for the legal community to come together in order to raise money in support of free legal advice centres in their local area.
GROW mentoring
35 of our colleagues signed up to be mentors during our first year partnering with GROW mentoring. The charity offers support to aspiring solicitors from diverse backgrounds through one-to-one mentoring and events
As well as supporting our office charities, our teams at Blake Morgan have taken part in a range of other charitable activity over the past year.
In doing so they have contributed to the work of a variety of charities, all of whom provide invaluable support for our communities.
Llamau
Blake Morgan's Charity Race Day at Chepstow in support of Llamou in 2022 raised over £7,000. The funds raised will go towards preventing homelessness in Wales.
The Chair's charity pot is available to boost the funds raised by our colleagues, whether they are fundraising for one of our offices' nominated charities or any other registered charity based in the UK.
Southampton office
Since partnering with Solent Mind in 2018.
Cardiff office
Since partnering with Young Lives vs Cancer in May 2022.
Reading office
Since partnering with Launchpad in January 2023.
London office
Since partnering with the British Heart Foundation in February 2023.
Oxford office
The successful two year partnership with Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub ended in June 2023. The new Oxford office charity is Dementia UK.
Each office has its own Charity of the Year and a fundraising programme for their charity - running marathons, taking part in sporting challenges and hosting events to raise much needed funds.
